Goodreads: ”When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.

Or maybe not.

Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.

Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?

Maybe.                                               Maybe not. ”

Bridgette was working in Hooters and just might be the step sister of Warren’s bestfriend. Warren manages a band.

Just when I was starting to love Hoover, I read this and almost regretted loving her. Yes, it was a fun read but I didn’t see any theme in this book. It was mainly just filled with Sex, the deed, thoughts of a man doing the deed and all sorts of sex that you can inject. However, of course there was a love element to the story. But in my opinion, it was not that transparent for it to become an actual book. (again, in my opinion). For me, story was really shallow, even for a romantic young adult book.

There were some fun parts, I admit.

  • I fuck like I’m thor.
  • She’s the best worst thing that’s ever happened to me.
  • She single handedly got the upper hand for all eternity.
  • She’s nothing I’ve ever wanted in a girl and absolutely everything I need.
  • That kiss on the cheek means were official.
  • I don’t want you to change, bridgette. I’m not in love with who you could be, or who you used to be, or who the world says you should be. I’m in love with you. Just like this.

**Read in 4 hours! 🙂

You know how they say that opposites attract? It may be true at times, or at first rather. but surely, time will come that those differences will set your relationship on a downward path.

Ryder is a low maintenance guy who lives off, of free furniture on the streets, who would think a hundred times before spending on a shirt, who loves kid and teaches second grade students, who would let a kid drool on his shirt, who is a vegan, who has several tattoos, who loves excitement and spur of the moment decisions but is a good guy and someone who will find the goodness in everybody.

Clint spends a couple of hundred dollars for a shirt, who has a bathroom as big as ryder’s whole house, who loves routine (eats in the same restaurant every Saturday at the same time at the same table), someone who is obsessed with neatness, someone who has different scissors for poultry, meat and fish other than for paper and religiously uses them only for that purpose, who loves drinking and partying, who gets excited with the loud music and who goes to club and DJ-ing for a living.

I have not read a book that has more sex scenes than this one. And I’ve not read a homosexual sex this detailed. Did that catch your attention? Haha. But yes, it’s all true.

Though, I love how rough and raw their sex can be. I love how they have this I-can’t-get-my-hands-off-you kind of love. Mutual affection is there but when lust is important too. And they both have enough to last a lifetime for each other.

  1. Why did there have to be so much heat and overwhelming longing to touch clint?
  2. I love quiet dinners and snuggling on the couch when it’s raining. But I love fucking and there’s a time and place for everything.
  3. He was the human equivalent of a cozy balnket and a cup of tea.
  4. He wanted so badly to go back and freeze time so he could just stare at him and breathe the same air. He looked so good. It was like coming home.
  5. I want to know that I’m not some long term fuck buddy and you’re not going to move on when you find someone more your type.
  6. I’m so in love with you and I need to know this is never going to stop.
  7. I love you and the only thing I want is to spend the rest of my life making you happy.

So what was actually the problem in this story? Basically, Ryder does not, in any way fit into Clint’s world. Two, Clint has this very strict policy that they cannot be seen in public PDA-ing because to him, it would ruin his image. Three, Clint’s notion that it’s okay for other guys to touch, hug and kiss him as long as they’re inside the club and because they’re not bringing him home. His notion of what happens in the club stays in the club. Third, they both never really told each other the dreaded three words, ‘I love you’.

“You are generous, gentle, brilliant, patient, completely selfless and you make me laugh. You’re magic and when we touch, I feel like you’ve lit a fire within me. We belong together and I want the whole world to know that I’m yours and I will never let you go”.

Oh my, any kind of proposals makes me swoon. You’re magic.

From the reviews of Good Reads, Everyone was sharing that however brilliant the book is, it should not – as much as possible be read by women. This is not a woman – friendly book, they say.

Which is to say, I agree – at some degree.

The first scene was very disturbing as narrated. Imagine the protagonist being questioned in court, in front of the jury, in front of the bystanders, in front of the judge. Everyone in the room except her, have balls. Not the ego, right hand balls — it’s the sensitive male parts, the real balls. Everyone in the room has penis. Everyone in the room is a male. Except for Penny.

And as she was on the stand, she was raped. She was struggling with all her might while her rapist was strongly pulling her legs apart to enter her indignantly.

Her rapist was the wealthiest man in the world. He was her former lover – more of a scientist actually, more of a frog on the table, more of an experiment. There was no affection at all. He used her to accomplish and perfect his whole collection of sex toys.
Allegedly, these sex toys — after about 3,000 women who underwent and was used to get how they react and perfect the combination of stimuli and sensations to climax all the time and reach orgasm — can actually kill individuals, specially women due to sex addiction to the point where the pleasure can stop and kill our brain.

Can you imagine that? Pleasure — our own doing — our lust — our libido can be the source of our own death, the cause of our demise.

And not only that, the sex genius, the mad scientist implanted nanobots – that are so tiny, that are smaller than molecules into the sex toys that women insert in their vaginas. These nanobots are so tiny they swim thru the blood vessels and are so powerful they can control your brain. — and clone another human being.

So why do this and go through all that trouble? His fiance, died after 136 days of being married to him. The Protagonist? she was a clone of his dead wife.

There is, undeniably – nothing wrong with pleasure, of sex, of lust. As long as it’s with the right person, at the right time and place and at the right amount – volume and frequency.
Let’s not our penises, our clitoris, our vagina and all our sensual and sexual parts rule over our heads. Okay?

However mad and sick Chuck is, It’s a good book I’d say.
It’s different.

BOOK REVIEW : Eleven Minutes – Paulo Coelho

Contary to what other people has been telling me, 11 minutes is not all about the big word – SEX. It may revolve around a girl who became a prostitute on her way of discovering her dreams. But it runs deeper than her profession. As I see it, this girl learned life in the process.
Here are some of the things I think are noteworthy words of Paulo in this book.

Sometimes, life is very mean. A person can spend days, weeks, months and years without feeling anything new. Then, when a door opens, a positive avalanche pours in. One moment, you have nothing, the next, you have more than you can cope with.

The most important experiences a man can have are those that take him to the limit – that is the only way we learn, because it requires all courage.

The fire that provoked by the spark soon burned out.

The universe only makes sense when we have someone to share things with.

Considering the way the world is, one happy day is a miracle.

‘I am two women. One wants to have all the joy, passion and adventure that life can give me. The other wants to be a slave to routine, to family life, to the things that can be planted and achieved.’

You awaken desire by not immediately handing over the object of that desire.

Because endings are always more difficult than beginning

The strongest love is the love that can demonstrate fragility

If you want to achieve your objectives, you have to be prepared for a daily dose of pain or discomfort. It’s unpleasant and demotivating, but in time you come to realize that its part of the process of feeling good. .

Sex has come to be used as some kind of drug; in order to escape reality, to forget about problems, to relax.

Two people who live together and love each other need to adjust the hands of their clocks, with patience and perseverance, games.

We don’t need theater to find suffering. Life offers us more than enough opportunities.

After all, we human beings, we are born full of guilt, we feel terrified when happiness becomes a real possibility; and we die wanting to punish everyone else because we feel impotent, ill-used and happy.
