EAT BF: RAMEN KURODA

When I was in the middle of my Strama Class, most weekends were spent at each other’s houses – writing my paper, editing my powerpoint, learning my financials and so on.. I’m just really grateful how helpful and understanding the boyfriend is when it comes to our dates — which is mostly spent in coffee shops with a laptop in tow.

So, one particular saturday – spent at my house doing strama — we decided to dine out for dinner at BF — Ramen Kuroda.

See their menu:

ramen kuroda

The boyfriend ordered the Gyoza + Aka Ramen for Php 320 since he likes the Gyoza.

While I, having no choice but to order the Teriyaki + Shiro Set for Php 320

20170819_183217

Since it’s so practical to order the Set Menu, we did. If you are planning to treat others, Ramen Kuroda is practical. 😀

EAT MAKATI: DONG WON

If you’re looking for a Korean Restaurant, there’s one along Jupiter Street right around the corner — DONG WON. It’s a meat shop slash restaurant. It smells a bit funky since the fresh meat is also where everyone dines.

A little catching up with the bestfriend and the boyfriend.

EVERYDAY: Lunchbowls

My go – to Lunchout Idea! — Kimchi Rice with Wagyu Cubes!! Oh my GOD. This is the kind of food you crave for. ❤ ❤ ❤

EAT MAKATI: WHISK

This is not on my list — but the boyfriend was quick to suggest this (which happens rarely). Thus, I said yes immediately. 😛

20170708_131853

Let’s get straight to the food since I don’t have other pictures.

Grilled Chicken Teriyaki – Php 230 Grilled Quarter Leg glazed with their very own teriyaki sauce served with buttered vegetables

20170708_124543

Usually, I’m not amazed with Chicken Dishes – but I liked this one. And the boyfriend too, obviously. (this is his order)

Lechon Kawali – Php 350 Twice cooked pork belly and stir fry greens with pesto sauce.

20170708_124634

This was a first for me. The pesto sauce smelled appetizing. Although I didn’t know what it would taste like in a meat!!! Good thing I tried! It was S-O-O GOOD!

EAT BF: SAMGYUPSAL HOUSE

There’s a new Korean Restaurant along the crowded Aguirre!

20170610_215506

We ordered Ala Carte Plain Samgyupsal for Php 250 and Seoul Soy Sauce for Php 280. I prefer the plain one. The Seoul Soy Samgyupsal was too salty.

20170610_21530920170610_215314

And was FULL. I only ate the plain ones. ❤

EAT MAKATI: KITE KEBAB

We managed to sneak out during our Lunch Period. 🙂 Poblacion again.

20170608_115858

Check out their menu!

Classic Beef Kebab, Classic Chicken Kebab, Spicy Chicken Kebab and Chipotle Chicken.

EAT MAKATI: DONNA DONNA

I wanted for him to try Matgalne where my friends and I ate once. However, upon reaching the place,  there was no available table, waiters were not accommodating and it was chaos.

We ended up trying this Korean, Donna Donna instead which is just across I’m Hotel.

20170603_122245

We just ordered Samgyupsal for Php 330 and 2 rice.

20170603_12482520170603_130447

We wanted to try Soju!! But we didn’t know that this is Vodka. So we ended up drinking hard liquor at Noon.

EAT MAKATI: SMOKEYARD

Poblacion Crawl it is! Now trying Smokeyard in Poblacion!

20170516_12413820170516_12423320170516_124429

We all ordered their Lunch Special of Pulled Pork with Iced Tea and Rice for only Php 125.

20170516_12473620170516_124746

It was deadly satisfying! Pulled Pork was tasty and filling at the same time and was affordable too.

20170516_125046

Lunch Group was appeased and gratified!

EAT MAKATI: MANDO’S WINGSHACK

Since the mother is out of our radius, lunch outs are more frequent. 🙂 Wendy suggested this Wingshack but after trying them out, I WARN YOU NOT TO.

20170515_120832

The place was a bit small, just like the other hole in the walls in the area. Inside its shack can fit about 4 tables of 4.

20170515_12085920170515_131035

We got there, observed the menu and tried to order:

20170515_12123120170515_121218

TACOS – All of them are not available

BURGER – Not available

CHICKEN TENDERS – Not available.

All we are left with is their WINGS. I know it’s a wings place but what if we wanted to try all sorts from their menu? And they only have 1 freakin food in their menu that’s available!!

We were there at 12:15 pm. They open at 12nn. Shouldn’t they be there at 11 am to prepare the food already? We ordered our food at 12:20 – Wings. We were served after more than an hour! Food was not even hot, not even warm! Food was served at 1:30 pm. Some portions of the plate was wet, sauce was bland, food was cold. None of it was a good enough experience!

20170515_13124520170515_131313

Hayy. We all ordered Wings with the following Sauces:

Beer BBQ

Spicy K-Town

Sweeracha and Buffalo Style.

All four of us was disappointed.

NEVER AGAIN.

EAT MAKATI: STAPLE AND PERK BAKERY

We surprisingly found this quaint new café in the not so near neighborhood in Makati. This space has everything that I’m looking for! : Actual food (not just pastries), spacious, bright, quiet, with available plugs and let’s not forget —- Instagrammable Place! 😀

20170429_12242120170429_12282120170429_123102

Walls are filled with paintings, quotes and other artworks that makes it instagrammable.

We ordered the following;

Chicken Japanese Mayo for Php 180

20170429_12391120170429_123933

This was the boyfriend’s order so I didn’t want to eat a lot of it, but I did. It was yum-eh. I think the Japanese Mayo pulled this one off.

I wanted to order their Bacon and Cheese Flatbread but unfortunately, they ran out of bacon that day so I ended up ordering the Roasted Chicken Flatbread which turned out to be really good as well.

The Roasted Chicken Flatbread is for Php 200

20170429_12424620170429_124156

Pretty much enjoyed my stay here. It would have been better if I was able to stay longer and get some work done. 🙂

Snapshots that day with the boyfriend:

EAT BF: SOUTHGRILL

I CANNOT KEEP UP WITH ALL THE NEW RESTAURANTS COMING IN! tonight? SOUTHGRILL!

20170421_195116

I wanted to sit outside but the weather does not permit. It’s just too damn hot these days. :/  Appetizer. Pretty darn tasty! The cheese dip did it for me!

20170421_19534920170421_200303

Our orders: Grilled Liempo for Php 250  So, so, so GOOD! Talk about some Garlic! 🙂 The meat definitely does not resemble a gum!

20170421_200823

Calamari for Php 280. Some beers, and we’re good! ❤

20170421_20052520170421_200844

EAT FORT: MOE’s

Another Mexican Treat! 😀 Nothing to do on my last day of school. :/ MEH.

Always a Taco for me! 😀 Soft Ground Beef Taco for Php 130. two pieces of taco and some chips!

20170422_13195820170422_132016

And Moe’s famous Chipotle Chicken for Php 265. He finished it in seconds! 😛 I’m assuming this is a thumbs up!

20170422_13202620170422_132045

We also took the time to try Tim Hortons.

Small French Vanilla for Php 100 and Small Hazelnut Iced Capp for Php 135.  Both are equally satisfying! I also ordered some Chocolate Chunk Cookie for Php 50 a piece and some Timbits for Php 10 each. The cookie was good, NOT WOAH thouugh. Timebits are blah.  don’t know why they’re bragging about the timbits at all. It was dry and a bit bland.

20170422_141939

I’d go back for the coffee! 😀

EAT FORT: GRINGO

I’ve been craving Mexican lately. Been eating tacos more than usual, eh? And here we are, again. Indulging on my cravings. 😛

So if you’re in the mood for some quesadillas, tacos or burritos — here’s their menu.

20170407_13321020170407_133219

And here’s what we ordered: ❤ ❤ ❤

For the Lady, Latin Salpicao Taco for Php 105. They only serve 1 piece of taco but the pork was generous. It wasn’t dry and had the perfect amount of seasoning, vegetables and mayo? (if it’s close enough)

20170407_13342720170407_13344520170407_133534

My love’s order: Quarter Southern Spice Chicken for Php 235. This comes with 2 sides already. In this case, dirty rice and some fries. 🙂

20170407_13370420170407_13373320170407_133756

For us both: Garlic Calamari for Php 235. THE Bomb! ❤

20170407_13380920170407_133816

And he’s not even close to done! 😀 Mango Cream Sticky Rice for Php 145.

20170407_14043220170407_140448

Always, always with my ❤

20170407_13384220170407_134028

EVERYDAY: 3 of 2s

Remember the last time I saw Amyll? We planned to meet the guy who made her nervous, sick and strangley happy at the same time. 🙂 And he finally arrived last 19th! This dinner was planned way ahead of his flight. 😀

Dinner at All4u in Century City Mall.

20170427_212403

BABOY, INDEED. Headed out for some coffee at I’m Hotel after.

Nice to meet you, xtian! and all your seriousness. 😀 Happy for you, Pine! ❤

EAT MAKATI: PLAYGROUND 11

As a self proclaimed foodie, I immediately opened this link: http://booky-wordpress-staging.us-east-1.elasticbeanstalk.com/blog/new-unique-poblacion/

and ofcourse with excitement, I really wanted to try everything on the list as soon as possible. So, I asked my judey if we can. and he willingly said yes. (thank god he wanted icecream after dinner.)

20170324_20554820170324_20252020170324_205624

The place is near A-Venue Mall. You’ll probably miss it so better just look for this tarp outside their store. They don’t really have an actual signage yet.

20170324_20274520170324_20275020170324_205418

Everything is done in their kitchen! 🙂 It’s always nice to see small cafes in a small neighborhood turn into something!

20170324_20264620170324_20365120170324_20341020170324_202646

We finally decided to try Chocnut Banoffee and Nutella Mangga. ❤

Its amazing how it’s homemade. right? Chocnut Banoffee really tasted like banoffee pie! There were no odd tastes. It was not too sweet either. The Nutella Mangga does not really tastes like nutella enough. The Mango flavor I think overpowers the chocolate flavor. Nonetheless, it’s worth the try. Plus, the owner and staff were really nice.
