As a self proclaimed foodie, I immediately opened this link: http://booky-wordpress-staging.us-east-1.elasticbeanstalk.com/blog/new-unique-poblacion/
and ofcourse with excitement, I really wanted to try everything on the list as soon as possible. So, I asked my judey if we can. and he willingly said yes. (thank god he wanted icecream after dinner.)
The place is near A-Venue Mall. You’ll probably miss it so better just look for this tarp outside their store. They don’t really have an actual signage yet.
Everything is done in their kitchen! 🙂 It’s always nice to see small cafes in a small neighborhood turn into something!
We finally decided to try Chocnut Banoffee and Nutella Mangga. ❤
Its amazing how it’s homemade. right? Chocnut Banoffee really tasted like banoffee pie! There were no odd tastes. It was not too sweet either. The Nutella Mangga does not really tastes like nutella enough. The Mango flavor I think overpowers the chocolate flavor. Nonetheless, it’s worth the try. Plus, the owner and staff were really nice.
He finally listened to me! ❤ Erwan Food it is for date night. 🙂
We picked out our orders the night before and we had a hard time! Let’s go with the easy one first. : Bagoong Rice for Php 145
Pork & Shrimp Laksa for Php 245 with Crispy Tofu, Chili Oil, Boiled Egg and Sesame Buchi. I lovedddd this! The consistency was thick which I assume was made from scratch rather than just powder. The taste was really strong.
General P’s Chicken for Php 220 – Battered Chicken, peanuts and Orange Soy. It was alright. Nothing like Recipe’s. 🙂
Crispy Baby Squid for Php 180 – Plum Glaze, Chilis, Fried Dilis and Spiced Peanuts. The love was crazy about the shrimps.
It’s such a small milestone but it represents something big for me. 😀 I’ve been scared all my life to ever eat alone. I’d rather not eat and go hungry than eat alone. But here I am now, eating adobo flakes ALONE in Early Bird Breakfast Club. 🙂 And I wasn’t even ashamed or uncomfortable.
And I also discovered a Zoo Cafe in Makati. I finally was able to try it. 🙂
And after that fulfillinh salty eggsperience, we head out for some sweets! And this little heaven is tucked on the corner, barely seen. Glad we did!
There’s an al fresco area – but it was a bit hot. The interiors looked like they have a bar inside. Dessert bar, perhaps.
He ordered for a Missisipi Gelato Pie for Php 250. Its an Oreo Crust with Vanilla and Dark Chocolate Gelato topped with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Sauce. Very, Very, Very Sinful — but all worth it!
While I ordered a Nutella Bun Ala Mode for Php 200. The Bun was a little off. It wasn’t dry, but it wasn’t moist either. — The only good thing here is the nutella in the middle. But you have to reach the middle first before it gets good though. But — I guess the Icecream makes it good! So I suggest you order this Ala Mode too.
Makati Circuit has been continuously growing its name! One by one, stores are already opening and one of it is — Shrimp Bucket!
Straight to our food, shall we?
We had Deep Fried Baby Squid for Php 215. Not bad for its price. It was really crunchy and the spice was just right — it was powerfully flavorful!
Fries! because he was avoiding rice.
And the Salty Eggsperience for Php 560. The Salted Egg Rave reached Shrimp Bucket! For me, there was nothing special on this dish. But the boyfie thinks otherwise. The bucket seems to have 10-12 medium sized shrimps. We didn’t even finish it.
We’ve been here not once,, not twice but thrice. Third time’s the charm. It’s a miracle. Every single time that we go here, it is swarmed with people. But we got there around 12:10 and not a single table was occupied. Whew. Good thing.
Self Service type and it can fit about 15 max of people.
Honey Parmesan Dog for Php 200. Quite a bit okay. Nothing too extravagant and fancy or unique. But it tastes good.
Sloppy Joes for Php 150. It doesn’t look as appetizing but it’s okay. Mashed beefy goodness.
Cheeseburger for Php 190. Someone always has to try the Cheeseburger. Right? I just had to. It’s a burger place. How can you not?
