My husband has been raving about this place for so long and I’ve been pitching it to my colleagues about the same time but we never really gotten around to it with our limited lunch time of 1 hour.
BUT, Lo and behold. . We were given an opportunity when we had a field meeting! But it was only the two of us. It’s a good thing that we arrived at around 2:00 pm already. The place was almost full with 1 reserved table. What more during lunch time, right?
Penne Pasta with Mixed Vegetables for Php 365
Cherry Tomatoes, Zucchini, Asparagus, French Beans and Carrots with extra virgin oil, basil and garlic sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
Okay! I didn’t think I would like it. Although I only had a taste of it. It’s my friend’s order. I recently discovered french beans and It’s pretty legit. If I were to go back, I will order this. ❤
Fried Chicken Nibblers for Php 295
Crispy chicken bites served with Nono’s home style waffles or fries on the side.
My order is part of the Kid’s Menu. I didn’t really want something heavy since I was planning to wait for my hubby from work at a coffee shop. So I ordered from the kid’s section. But the portion was good enough for me. It comes with Orange juice too and with pulp. 😛 I was looking forward for the fries but their waffles are good too. Even the maple syrup! Usually, I find a lot of maple syrups too sweet – but this one is something else. ❤
I would love to go back and try their viands. I liked both of our orders. ❤ Recommendable! The husband is right.
Now that my sister has her own house, it’s very seldom that we eat together. & too sad that the only one missing is the boyfriend. —- 7th wheeler for lunch
My go – to Lunchout Idea! — Kimchi Rice with Wagyu Cubes!! Oh my GOD. This is the kind of food you crave for. ❤ ❤ ❤
Poblacion Crawl it is! Now trying Smokeyard in Poblacion!
We all ordered their Lunch Special of Pulled Pork with Iced Tea and Rice for only Php 125.
It was deadly satisfying! Pulled Pork was tasty and filling at the same time and was affordable too.
Lunch Group was appeased and gratified!
Ramen with the Lunchmates!
This has been a tough year especially to this person celebrating her birthday. She has been in and out of the hospital almost every month. But God is good. She’s still with us for her 62nd year.
Happy Happy Birthday, Ta Alice!
May you continue to be showered with God’s graces!
Enough theories for 3 hours. It’s to feed our bellies, not our brains.
We invited them to try Francos for some really really really good four cheese pizza and god-level salpicaos. :))))
You know how sometimes you really want to restrict yourself from eating but at the same time, you’re also itching to try something new? Well, this is it. I am forcing myself to go on a diet (because of our cebu trip) but i’m a failure at the diet part. As you can see. We tried Esquire’s Best Cheeseburger! Now, wouldn’t you be intrigued?
We ordered for Nutella and Salted Caramel – Php 160. Actually, Alex here is not fond of sweets. But I wanted both so she settled with Salted Caramel, both flavors, I wanted to try. Nutella was so, so, so good. The Salted Caramel however, tasted too much like Caramel. It was too sweet. It should be Caramel – not Salted Caramel. It was good, nonetheless.
For the Main Event, we both ordered the Cheeseburger – Php 170 ofcourse. And, Erwan and the others were not kidding! It was goooooddd! Imagine with all of our food, I’m on a diet — and we both finished the damn thing! together with fries!
BTW, We also ordered Ecstasy Fries – Php 130. It was covered with ecstasy sauce, cheese and caramelized onions. They have a variety of other fries too. And, Alex also ordered Buffalo Wings – Php 220. According to her, it’s WHOAH. I didn’t taste it, sorry. I wouldn’t know.
It was definitely a worthy lunch under the sun.
P.S. It’s an open place. I suggest you go at night or late in the afternoon.
Cafe Meditterenean — one if the few left uneaten. So we tried it this time. It’s not the first time so I won’t go into details.
We all ordered the same thing.
Alex, Myself, Migo then Maf followed.
Because all that numbers couldn’t fill our stomachs with food. We need soup to slide down all that financial statements.
We managed to reach Katipunan because of the Holiday! Yayyyy! 😀 Now we finally have the time to try this intriguing Backyard Place.
Thrice Cooked Crispy Pork Cheek – Php 295 Stewed, Roasted and Grilled Pork Cheek, forbidden black rice, sauteed kale, caramelized onions and adobo hoisin reduction. I wasn’t able to try this dish but it looks appetizing anyway.
Slow Roasted Pork Belly – Php 275 Slow Roasted BBQ Rubbed belly, papaya slaw, homemade rhum bbq sauce, mac & cheese or rice. Rice was plenty and the bbq sauce was good!! but the salad side was dreadful. 😦
Waffle Breaded Fried Chicken – Php 295 Chicken thighs, maple butter, sauteed kale, sriracha ketchup, whipped bone marrow ciabatta toasts or rice. I wasn’t able to try this too but the two gentlemen seems to have zero problem about this.
Ciabatta with Whipped Bone Marrow & Pulled Pork – Php 495 for 4. Ciabatta Toast, Melted whipped bone, bbq pulled pork and sour cream. There’s nothing as good as pulled pork. Can’t go wrong! It’s too good! The ciabatta toasts though is ordinary. I’d prefer a dish with pulled pork and rice.
We also stopped by to try the famous Rita’s. We had Birthday Cakes and Chocolate and Vanilla Custards. One of us ordered a Cookie Dough + Chocolate Custard + Kitkat Blendini. It tasted more like DQ which is so much better than their classic cups. It’s a good thing we only ordered the regular cups. This is an example of a BAD HYPE.
I now love, UP Town. 😀 Too bad it’s too far.
Hiiiii! So life is fair after all! 😀 This, I guess would be the first time the group traveled outside Makati. Finally seems to be the appropriate word. Yes? And the world turns because the odds are in my favor since it’s 15 minutes away from my comforting bed.
Our late lunch was at Bi Won.
We were at Bi Won around 4 in the afternoon and we were literally the only customer so we took advantage and sat on one of their private rooms. Air-conditioning were only opened when we arrived so it was more like we were being cooked alive in there rather than us, having lunch. I love korean so no doubt, it was all in my favor. :))
After which, I brought them to the newly opened Nitrogen Icecream Store and ordered 3 flavors; Cookie Monster, Milo and Tiramisu. Milo was the king of all nitrogens.
And we’re not done. Went to go grab some drinks after. Oh how I miss it. 5 more pitchers until college please? I miss not being sober. Haha. What a fun day!
We were preoccupied so I was not able to take a picture of our food.
But here’s what we ordered: Sizzling Sisig for Php 265, Gising Gising for Php 205, Sinigang na Baboy for Php 355, Kare Kare for Php 485, Crispy Pata for Php 595,
Everyone’s faces was plastered with a big smile. Everything tasted so good even the shakes.
Right after doing our business at school for the enrollment, Maf suggested that we eat here first. I am familiar with the store since I always see people holding a black cup with the Dean & Delucca logo in front. So I said yes!
They are located at Rockwell, just across the Mango Store in Powerplant.
They are famous for their pastries and coffee. But since this is already brunch, we opted to skip the pastries. While waiting for our orders. It’s a good thing the waiters are accommodating – we then can abuse them for taking our pictures. Haha.
Naturally, the drinks come first. So here’s Maf’s drink – Strawberry Soda. It has real strawberries in it. They both said it was really good. I didn’t try it though since I hate anything with berries.
Alex always want soup with her sandwiches. So she ordered this Mushroom Soup.
And being a Milkshake Lover that I am, I ordered the Cookies & Cream Milkshake It was GLO-RI-OUSS. It was thick and sweet and tasted everything you’d want to taste in a Cookies and Cream Milkshake – just as how it should be.
Alex also ordered a Milkshake which is equally good. This is Peanut Butter Banana Milkshake.
This is Roasted Pulled Pork and Coleslaw in Turkish Pide for Php 380 It’s a bit pricey for a sandwich but if you’re after the taste and you’re going to just try it once, this is good. There is enough meat in the sandwich, it’s not pretenrious like some restaurants who place all the meat on the sides just to make it seem like overflowing. This isn’t it. Though, you might want some alternative to wash out the taste.
Mfaf’s order was Cuban Sourdough bread for Php 420. They were both raving about it but when I tasted it, I didn’t like it one bit. I actually wanted to spit it out as it tasted like a mild wasabi. It has pulled pork too and if you’re into wasabi, you can probably order this as the serving is generous. It also comes with chips.
The girlies are out for lunch! :)) I’ll bring Judey here for the Milkshake that he was jealous of. Bahaha.
One fine saturday, no. its a one great saturday — we didn’t have our leadership class. Yayy! Back to the start, One Great Sunny Saturday, we met with Jes and Kuci.
Its a Rainbow Colored Table full of Pinks and Purples! It was nice meeting you both! :)) And everything was clear.
