BOOK THOUGHTS: WHAT YOU MAKE OF YOUR LIFE IS UP TO YOU

An excerpt from the book, ”If life is a Game, these are the rules” by Cherie Carter – Scott.

This probably is my favorite lesson I’ve come across. In so many phrases, in so many authors, in so many books, one essence. Now read this carefully.

Every person creates his own reality. You can either engage in the blame game, or you can take control of your life and shape it as you would like. You can either let your circumstances dictate what happens to you, or you can transcend your perceived limitation and make extraordinary things happen.

When you fully recognize your challenges, your gifts, and individual reality, and you accept the life path they present, the world provides whatever you need to succeed.

When you claim authorship of your life, the world responds and the genius ignites.

When you begin to live your life understanding that what you make of it is u to you, you are able to design it according to your authentic choices and desires.

BOOOK THOUGHTS: HUMOR

An excerpt from the book, ”If life is a Game, these are the rules” by Cherie Carter – Scott.

Humor means to invite levity and amusement into situations that might otherwise be disastrous.

If you are going to view the hardships that happen to you or the slip-ups you make as lessons rather than mistakes, a sense of humor will prove helpful. When you learn to laugh at your mishaps, you are able to instantaneously transform perceived bad situations into opportunities to learn something about the absurdity of human behavior.

Laughter causes misery to vanquish. It teaches you to lighten up and take yourself less seriously, even in the most serious of situations.

So give yourself permission to laugh.

”It is of immense importance to learn to laugh at ourselves”.  –  Katherine Mansfield

THOUGHTS: POWER

An excerpt from the book, ”If life is a Game, these are the rules” by Cherie Carter – Scott.

Power means demonstrating your ability to manifest reality.

Power leaks come in many forms; intimidation, discouragement, disappointment, setbacks, rejection or loss. The best way to patch these leaks is to look back at our earlier successes as a way to remind yourself of what you are capable of.

Your power is what propels you forward day after day, what sustains you in dark moments, what gives you the ability to do whatever you feel driven to do.

”There isn’t any person who isn’t capable of doing more than he thinks he can”. — Henry Ford

THOUGHTS: Self Esteem

An excerpt from the book, ”If life is a Game, these are the rules” by Cherie Carter – Scott.

Self-esteem is feeling worthy and able to meet life’s challenges.

We could all live a fulfilled life as long as we approach life with the right attitude. Rather than dwelling on all the things you cannot do, focus on those things that you can do.

”It’s not what happens to you, it’s what you do about it”  — One of my favorites, actually.

Remind yourself that self-esteem is ephemeral. You will have it, lose it, cultivate it, nurture it and be forced to rebuild it over and over and over.

”No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”  — Eleanor Roosevelt.
