It’s that glorious time of the year when we see relatives we don’t even know existed, non stop meal preparations, scavenger hunt for the perfect gift for our loved ones, glamming up for three four five reunions, house decorations and who will ever miss out on binge drinking? What could possibly be a more perfect excuse?
As you may have notice on my yearly post regarding Christmas – we always celebrate the birthday of my aunt. This time, at Acaci at Acacia Hotel in Alabang.
Okay, so I don’t know why the picture is a little bit distorted. Anyway, food was good. I love how bright, sunny the ambiance is. Standouts for me would be the lava cake and the buttered garlic shrimp of course.<3 And, this is the first time wine was included in the one round set of drinks. – Grabbed! 🙂
This year is quite different. We didn’t have the salubong in our house. It’s a bit sad that we weren’t able to do our tradition knowing it will be my last undivided holiday. But what can I do? there were 2 situations that we are experiencing at the moment: we didn’t have help and all of us in the family are sick and my brother just got out of the hospital the day before Christmas. My sister, her husband and their new baby was also advised to stay at home.
BUT! Gift giving and family pictures is a must of course.
So it’s just us four. ❤
And since everyone was not quite feeling well, and the parents are sleepy already, we opened the gifts at 11pm. Haha. 😀

Christmas Dinner with my previous officemates at Conti’s. ❤
I sometimes wish we could all go back to when we were all complete. Everyone was enjoying each other’s company with my sister, undivided holiday too. With Ate Eulah here in the Philippines, with both my grandmas alive and ‘ta alice. 😦
But all negative emotions aside, thank you thank you thank you for all the gifts. 🙂
See you all next year for a more memorable Christmas! ❤
Palawan can never and should never be traveled without devoting a day for beach! Ain’t that right? so you know where we spent the day huh? Sand and sun.
First Stop: Kayangan Lake
Where the famous overlooking view is at. You should have a wonderful photographer friend with you, our tour guide was a failure. Thus, it’s almost impossible to see us in this picture. Haha
We had to go down and up, to reach the actual Kayangan Lake.
And if you swim just a bit more, you get to swim under a big rock or cove or something until you reach the Hidden Lagoon.
This is CYC Beach – it was a bit small, but it’s peaceful and white and serene.
We had an amazing seafood fest in front of the ocean. ❤
And they got to look around and explore in the Skeleton Wreck part of the ocean..
We ended the day with a relaxing hot spring experience at Maquinit Hot Spring.
I’m glad I have my ❤ with me all throughout.
THEME: Boho Inspired
VENUE: J. Cuppacakes in SM Jazz Mall
We printed out name plates for each guests that are carefully seated on top of their plates with floral designs (perfect for the theme) and with the couple’s hashtag. Floral crowns are also placed together with the name plates. ❤
We made a photobooth frame from illustration board and decorated it with floral designs too with Kiss the Miss Goodbye printed out too.
We also made a sash for the bride to be. ❤
Ana’s surprise face. I may not be able to show you the video — but she cried! Mission accomplished!
And just some of the food that we ordered. ❤
Some games from our shower: What’s in your bag, Pin the Bra and some Icing on your face.
Late Lunch for the Bride to be.
Ana and her table of goodies.
Some group photos. ❤
If you’re looking for a Korean Restaurant, there’s one along Jupiter Street right around the corner — DONG WON. It’s a meat shop slash restaurant. It smells a bit funky since the fresh meat is also where everyone dines.
A little catching up with the bestfriend and the boyfriend.
It’s about time we all meet each other’s plus ones! anndddd, Congrats to Chad and Marfori! 😀
We had dinner at Century Mall.
Because sometimes all a girl needs is a quiet talk with her friends, a beer in their hand and some frankness and laughter combined.
There’s a new Korean Restaurant along the crowded Aguirre!
We ordered Ala Carte Plain Samgyupsal for Php 250 and Seoul Soy Sauce for Php 280. I prefer the plain one. The Seoul Soy Samgyupsal was too salty.
And was FULL. I only ate the plain ones. ❤
Since the mother is out of our radius, lunch outs are more frequent. 🙂 Wendy suggested this Wingshack but after trying them out, I WARN YOU NOT TO.
The place was a bit small, just like the other hole in the walls in the area. Inside its shack can fit about 4 tables of 4.
We got there, observed the menu and tried to order:
TACOS – All of them are not available
BURGER – Not available
CHICKEN TENDERS – Not available.
All we are left with is their WINGS. I know it’s a wings place but what if we wanted to try all sorts from their menu? And they only have 1 freakin food in their menu that’s available!!
We were there at 12:15 pm. They open at 12nn. Shouldn’t they be there at 11 am to prepare the food already? We ordered our food at 12:20 – Wings. We were served after more than an hour! Food was not even hot, not even warm! Food was served at 1:30 pm. Some portions of the plate was wet, sauce was bland, food was cold. None of it was a good enough experience!
Hayy. We all ordered Wings with the following Sauces:
Sweeracha and Buffalo Style.
All four of us was disappointed.
An awful godmother, I guess? I only get to see her during her birthdays! 😀 Nonetheless, I was present on all including baptism. 😛
Forgive the very lucid photos. Facebook kills the sharpness of each photo.
__ Ijoh, Myself, Anne, Alex, Amyll, Abdul and Lance. 🙂
Hlaf of my Highschool: Myself, Anne, Alex, Abdul and Amyll. Missing: Kat Bucsit, Kat Vistan, Cara and Mane?
Remember the last time I saw Amyll? We planned to meet the guy who made her nervous, sick and strangley happy at the same time. 🙂 And he finally arrived last 19th! This dinner was planned way ahead of his flight. 😀
Dinner at All4u in Century City Mall.
BABOY, INDEED. Headed out for some coffee at I’m Hotel after.
Nice to meet you, xtian! and all your seriousness. 😀 Happy for you, Pine! ❤
1 week notice from Anne Marie and this happened. It will be the first wedding in our group.<3 Surreal.
Congratulations, braid. :* Hoping to finally meet the very quiet and timid Reggie.
** I don’t even know why very clear and sharp pictures from Iphone appears to be really blurry when uploaded here. 😦
Beerpong and Condo after. 😀
To the person who brings life in the office, to the person who brings the noise and laughter in everything, goodluck on your future endeavors and we will surely miss you.
Some may mock. Some might get pissed. Many would say that assumptionists are intimidating. I say, that’s not bad at all. It’s not our problem. People worthy of talking to, people you might learn from should intimidate you. Proud to be an Assumptionista. ❤
A quick date with my love before the night starts.
Where we spent waiting for our grades, where we seek refuge from the professors.
Lounge – where some of our breaks happen, where we ogle on crushes, where we cram our assignments, where we hide from professors, where we photocopy cases, where I first sold my first 20 meals, etc…
With Sir Ricky, the business dean.
Late dinner with my entrep loves. ❤
It’s been such a long time! I always come in threes. How about your clique?
Sorry for the poor quality.
I missed you, Piney! :* At Wholesome Table.
