If you’re looking for a Korean Restaurant, there’s one along Jupiter Street right around the corner — DONG WON. It’s a meat shop slash restaurant. It smells a bit funky since the fresh meat is also where everyone dines.
A little catching up with the bestfriend and the boyfriend.
Now that my sister has her own house, it’s very seldom that we eat together. & too sad that the only one missing is the boyfriend. —- 7th wheeler for lunch
My go – to Lunchout Idea! — Kimchi Rice with Wagyu Cubes!! Oh my GOD. This is the kind of food you crave for. ❤ ❤ ❤
This is not on my list — but the boyfriend was quick to suggest this (which happens rarely). Thus, I said yes immediately. 😛
Let’s get straight to the food since I don’t have other pictures.
Grilled Chicken Teriyaki – Php 230 Grilled Quarter Leg glazed with their very own teriyaki sauce served with buttered vegetables
Usually, I’m not amazed with Chicken Dishes – but I liked this one. And the boyfriend too, obviously. (this is his order)
Lechon Kawali – Php 350 Twice cooked pork belly and stir fry greens with pesto sauce.
This was a first for me. The pesto sauce smelled appetizing. Although I didn’t know what it would taste like in a meat!!! Good thing I tried! It was S-O-O GOOD!
There’s a new Korean Restaurant along the crowded Aguirre!
We ordered Ala Carte Plain Samgyupsal for Php 250 and Seoul Soy Sauce for Php 280. I prefer the plain one. The Seoul Soy Samgyupsal was too salty.
And was FULL. I only ate the plain ones. ❤
We managed to sneak out during our Lunch Period. 🙂 Poblacion again.
Check out their menu!
And here’s our order:
Classic Beef Kebab, Classic Chicken Kebab, Spicy Chicken Kebab and Chipotle Chicken.
I wanted for him to try Matgalne where my friends and I ate once. However, upon reaching the place, there was no available table, waiters were not accommodating and it was chaos.
We ended up trying this Korean, Donna Donna instead which is just across I’m Hotel.
We just ordered Samgyupsal for Php 330 and 2 rice.
We wanted to try Soju!! But we didn’t know that this is Vodka. So we ended up drinking hard liquor at Noon.
Since the mother is out of our radius, lunch outs are more frequent. 🙂 Wendy suggested this Wingshack but after trying them out, I WARN YOU NOT TO.
The place was a bit small, just like the other hole in the walls in the area. Inside its shack can fit about 4 tables of 4.
We got there, observed the menu and tried to order:
TACOS – All of them are not available
BURGER – Not available
CHICKEN TENDERS – Not available.
All we are left with is their WINGS. I know it’s a wings place but what if we wanted to try all sorts from their menu? And they only have 1 freakin food in their menu that’s available!!
We were there at 12:15 pm. They open at 12nn. Shouldn’t they be there at 11 am to prepare the food already? We ordered our food at 12:20 – Wings. We were served after more than an hour! Food was not even hot, not even warm! Food was served at 1:30 pm. Some portions of the plate was wet, sauce was bland, food was cold. None of it was a good enough experience!
Hayy. We all ordered Wings with the following Sauces:
Sweeracha and Buffalo Style.
All four of us was disappointed.
This is one of those rare times that ‘le boyfriend discovers something new. 😛
The place was spacious and had enough room for the guests and more.
We ordered the BBQ Set B for Php 800. This is composed of Pork Belly, Egg n Cheese and Wrap me up veggies
I loveddd it. ❤ ❤ ❤
It’s such a small milestone but it represents something big for me. 😀 I’ve been scared all my life to ever eat alone. I’d rather not eat and go hungry than eat alone. But here I am now, eating adobo flakes ALONE in Early Bird Breakfast Club. 🙂 And I wasn’t even ashamed or uncomfortable.
And I also discovered a Zoo Cafe in Makati. I finally was able to try it. 🙂
It’s been awhile since we’ve been to BGC. You noticed? Andddd, my crush was craving for burger.
Menu? The boyfriend ordered Kandi for Php 275
And I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger for Php 265
Both of our burgers are sinful and delicious. We both chose to have our bacon in Honey Sriracha and we both finished our burgers. Satisfying. 🙂
And Chicken Popcorn in Buffalo Sauce
Always with my date..
Because it’s friday and we consider it as semi free day because you know whooooo. So we decided to eat out — and I suggested El Chupacabra.
And after that fulfillinh salty eggsperience, we head out for some sweets! And this little heaven is tucked on the corner, barely seen. Glad we did!
There’s an al fresco area – but it was a bit hot. The interiors looked like they have a bar inside. Dessert bar, perhaps.
He ordered for a Missisipi Gelato Pie for Php 250. Its an Oreo Crust with Vanilla and Dark Chocolate Gelato topped with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Sauce. Very, Very, Very Sinful — but all worth it!
While I ordered a Nutella Bun Ala Mode for Php 200. The Bun was a little off. It wasn’t dry, but it wasn’t moist either. — The only good thing here is the nutella in the middle. But you have to reach the middle first before it gets good though. But — I guess the Icecream makes it good! So I suggest you order this Ala Mode too.
Yep, we wanted it Al Fresco Style 🙂
Makati Circuit has been continuously growing its name! One by one, stores are already opening and one of it is — Shrimp Bucket!
Straight to our food, shall we?
We had Deep Fried Baby Squid for Php 215. Not bad for its price. It was really crunchy and the spice was just right — it was powerfully flavorful!
Fries! because he was avoiding rice.
And the Salty Eggsperience for Php 560. The Salted Egg Rave reached Shrimp Bucket! For me, there was nothing special on this dish. But the boyfie thinks otherwise. The bucket seems to have 10-12 medium sized shrimps. We didn’t even finish it.
Because this is a long overdue date. We have been having issues at home, thus I feel guilty to go on dates or to go somewhere. But this guy surprised me when my class got cancelled.
We both love Thai food so there was no argument that happened. 🙂
It’s not exactly Thai when we don’t order Bagoong Rice, right? Bagoong Rice for Php 290. Good enough for 2 people.
I knew he will order Chicken – so I had to go with Seafood. We ordered Pla Som Rod for Php 375 – Crispy Tilapia, Tamarind Sauce, Crispy Shallots Thai Basil. It’s a bit expensive, yes. But it’s already in fillets – and it’s so good. I loved it. The Tamarind Sauce was also not that strong, which for me is good. It goes well with the texture of the crispy basils.
Sate Gai for Php 320. Grilled Chicken Skewer with Peanut Sauce and Cucumber and Salsa. I also liked this dish! It looks like the average Satay but it’s delicious! You don’t even need the vinegar!
Until our next, L&B! 😀
