School is almost out for Audrey, but the panic attacks are just beginning. Because Audrey told a lie and now her classmate, Ana, is dead. Just as her world begins to spin out of control, Audrey meets the enigmatic Rad—the boy who could turn it all around. But will their ill-timed romance drive her closer to the edge?

The lie that Audrey was really creepy, gross and just downright disgusting. How can a father rape his own daughters? That would be one of the worse. —- Although it’s not far from reality, with the crimes nowadays. It’s just one of the worse lies.  And how can Rad not do anything about it? Was it out of fear? But if you love the girl, speak. It’s not also right to let someone else get the blame, even if it wasn’t intentional.

 ·         But you can’t make people listen. They have to come around in their own time, wondering what happened and why the world blew up around them.

·         She carried herself like a storm or a melodrama. She could walk into a room and instantly change the atmosphere.

·         The most beautiful things are damaged in some way.

·         I can’t live my whole life worrying about every damn thing people are saying about me.

·         There are millions of books out there. We could be living all sorts of lives.

·         Its human nature I suppose. To have another person validate your own unique view of the world.

·         It’s about running your own race.

·         Write something that will make sense ten years from now.

·         Writing was cathartic for me.

·         All sad people write. A way of working through things that feel unresolved, like undoing a knot. People who are prone to sadness are more likely to pick up a pen.

·         Sometimes, we get attached to things, just for the sake of it. Long after we’ve outgrown it.

·         You can’t go through your life without hurting people. It’s unrealistic.

·         What if I’m making a huge mistake? Then make it.

·         Isn’t it weird? You can create something that is pure genius. But you have to get your timing right.

·         You and me – we’re meant to be rock solid, right? I always thought if nothing else worked out in my life, I’d still have you.

·         Our emotions pull us in different directions. The stronger the emotion, the greater the pull. Feelings are not always practical, nor do they make any logical sense. That’s just the way it goes.

·         The period where you cross the threshold into adulthood. And it’s meant to be a times that is as magical as it is unsettling. Your life is thrown into chaos and disarray. Think of it as your own tiny revolution.

·         Writing is the consolation price your’re given when you don’t get the thing you want the most.

·         She’s in every damn line he writes.

·         Our first love isn’t the first person you give your heart to – it’s the first one who breaks it.

·         Too many great things in this world get lost because of reason.

·         You’ve got to do what your heart tells you to.

·         It was one of those apocalyptic ‘fuck you’ to the universe kind of moments.

When I was in the middle of my Strama Class, most weekends were spent at each other’s houses – writing my paper, editing my powerpoint, learning my financials and so on.. I’m just really grateful how helpful and understanding the boyfriend is when it comes to our dates — which is mostly spent in coffee shops with a laptop in tow.

So, one particular saturday – spent at my house doing strama — we decided to dine out for dinner at BF — Ramen Kuroda.

See their menu:

ramen kuroda

The boyfriend ordered the Gyoza + Aka Ramen for Php 320 since he likes the Gyoza.

While I, having no choice but to order the Teriyaki + Shiro Set for Php 320

Since it’s so practical to order the Set Menu, we did. If you are planning to treat others, Ramen Kuroda is practical. 😀

Goodreads: Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris–until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all…including a serious girlfriend.

I love how I was able to travel along the streets, towers, and cinemas of Paris because of this book. I somehow have this love and hate relationship for the way Etienne acted. I loved how this book depicted the ‘kilig’ moments of Anna when Etienne leaves some traces of affection for her. But I also hate how he fell for someone else when he has a FREAKING GIRLFRIEND and COMMITTED. Fuck it, Etienne! You should’ve ended things first before falling for Anna! Asshole.

Some lines I loved:

  1. All I know is his crooked smile and his confident swaggery walk.
  2. But I feel his stare as if it were the heat of the sun.
  3. Boys turn girls into such idiots.
  4. When Etienne brought Anna to POINT ZERO DES ROUTES (It’s the beginning of everything)
  5. You only get a limited number in life. Falling Stars, eyelashes, dandelions, birthday candles.
  6. When St. Clair defended Anna – ‘I want Anna on my team, and you’d be lucky to have her’.
  7. When St. Clair confessed drunk: ‘I like you. and I don’t mean as a friend’.
  8. This time his grin is full and dazzling, and it catches me off guard. My heart stops.
  9. The only consistent bright spot was St. Clair.
  10. Is it possible for home to be a person? and not a place?
  11. The kind of person who radiates a natural magnetic field, who everyone is drawn to, who everyone is dazzled by?
  12. Being called Etienne rather than what all people used to call him – St. Clair.
  13. Will you please tell me you love me? — I’m dying here.

  1. River Seine
  2. Notre Dame
  3. Point Zero
  4. Arc de Triomphe
  5. The Pantheon
  6. Jardin du Luxembourg
  7. Grand Bassin
  8. Champ de Mars
  9. Galerie des Chimeres

BOOK? SO – SO. ;l

Another Mexican Treat! 😀 Nothing to do on my last day of school. :/ MEH.

Always a Taco for me! 😀 Soft Ground Beef Taco for Php 130. two pieces of taco and some chips!

And Moe’s famous Chipotle Chicken for Php 265. He finished it in seconds! 😛 I’m assuming this is a thumbs up!

We also took the time to try Tim Hortons.

Small French Vanilla for Php 100 and Small Hazelnut Iced Capp for Php 135.  Both are equally satisfying! I also ordered some Chocolate Chunk Cookie for Php 50 a piece and some Timbits for Php 10 each. The cookie was good, NOT WOAH thouugh. Timebits are blah.  don’t know why they’re bragging about the timbits at all. It was dry and a bit bland.

I’d go back for the coffee! 😀

We had some freetime on a weekday! Yay! Try out something new? Hell Yeah! Kodanda at BF. It’s a good thing we were able to try them out while on a promo/ 😀 Php 400 for an hour! 🙂 unlimited set!

book: Lola and the boy next door by stephanie perkins

I enjoyed my first book with this author. Thus, I think I’m sort of obligated to finish the book. I’m not saying that it was indeed a boring book but I wasn’t compelled. I didn’t fall in love with the characters and the boy was not charming. It felt like he was just this tall, awkward guy as I pictured him to be.

Goodreads: Lola Nolan is a budding costume designer, and for her, the more outrageous, sparkly, and fun the outfit, the better. And everything is pretty perfect in her life (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood. When Cricket, a gifted inventor, steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.

Anyway, here are my highlighted lines:

  1. Perfect is overrated. Perfect is boring.
  2. You’re delightfully screwy and I wouldn’t have you any other way.
  3. His kisses are gentle and rough, spearmint and cigarettes.
  4. But I could tell I made him nervous. For some reason, this only made me bolder. (I’d want to have this effect on men too. I wish I still make him nervous. )
  5. You can’t avoid your problems forever. No one can.
  6. How quickly one’s allegiance changes under the influence of a compliment.
  7. Does Max tell people about me? (Does he tell stories about me to other people too? I hope so. :/)
  8. A fullwattage grin.
  9. You’re late. You waited. — walking the dog scene.
  10. Cricket defined the hours of my day.
  11. His eyes twinkled as if it were the best day of his life. ( Do I still have this effect of happiness on him?)
  12. You’re like a shooting star.
  13. You’re doing the girl thing. Saying happy when you’re not. (the boyfriend always tells me this. Haha. And he figured out when I’m doing this)
  14. I love his laugh. It’s rare, so whenever I hear it, I know I’ve earned it.
  15. His gaze locks into mine, and his face alights like the stars. He smiles – a full smile that reaches all the way to his eyes – and it’s sweet and pure and hopeful.
  16. Go out with me tonight, tomorrow night, every night. (just heart, melting.)
  17. His name explodes inside of me, like cannon fire.
  18. When it’s right, it’s simple.
  19. People are clapping him on the back and trying to engage him in conversation, but Max’s eyes are only on mine as he brushes past them. (UGHHHH. I want this scene. Everyone was clamoring for him and yet his attention is to me. J ❤ . as he goes down the stage and kiss me?)
  20. Sometimes a mistake isn’t a what. It’s a who.
  21. When cricket stood behind lola to serve as a cloud to cover the heat of the sun. ❤
  22. Life isn’t what you get. It’s what you do with what you get.
  23. The energy between us ricochets so fiercely that it scares me.
  24. His gaze burns like an African sun.
  25. Do you think things have to be easy? For it to work? I mean, yes, but… sometimes there are extenuating circumstances that it prevent it from being easy for a while. But then people overcome those circumstances and second, third, fourth. Whatever it takes, however long it takes. If the person is right, then yes.
  26. There are some people in life that you can’t get over.
  27. I know you aren’t perfect but it’s a persons imperfections that make them perfect for someone else.
  28. If I’m the stars, Cricket Bell is entire galaxies.
  29. I’m here. I’m wherever you are.

*** I want someone to write a song for me, about me and dedicated to me. I also want to be one of the girls who had songs dedicated to them.

Because we don’t actually have anything planned for the night.

Relish Special Sisig for Php 295. No wonder they attached their name to this dish. It was crispy and it certainly was special.

Behold the Chimichurri Chickenn Kebab for Php 395 – Boneless Chicken Chunks marinated in their special chimchurri sauce, skewered with onions and tomatoes served with aoili sauce. Not a fan of chicken BUT, I happened to finish this dish somehow.

But good lord, had an awesome time with this guy. Dinner and Massage with the LOML.

He finally listened to me! ❤ Erwan Food it is for date night. 🙂

We picked out our orders the night before and we had a hard time! Let’s go with the easy one first. : Bagoong Rice for Php 145

Pork & Shrimp Laksa for Php 245 with Crispy Tofu, Chili Oil, Boiled Egg and Sesame Buchi. I lovedddd this! The consistency was thick which I assume was made from scratch rather than just powder. The taste was really strong.

General P’s Chicken for Php 220 – Battered Chicken, peanuts and Orange Soy. It was alright. Nothing like Recipe’s. 🙂

Crispy Baby Squid for Php 180 – Plum Glaze, Chilis, Fried Dilis and Spiced Peanuts. The love was crazy about the shrimps.

I wouldn’t mind going on a date here again. ❤

This is one of those rare times that ‘le boyfriend discovers something new. 😛

The place was spacious and had enough room for the guests and more.

We ordered the BBQ Set B for Php 800. This is composed of Pork Belly, Egg n Cheese and  Wrap me up veggies

I loveddd it. ❤ ❤ ❤
