How are you all doing so far? It’s a very difficult and sad time for everyone. I, for one am the type of person who wants to be out and about. I don’t really like staying at home and doing nothing for a LONG time. But what can we do? We can only make the best out of the situation that we are placed in.
Here are some things you can do while in isolation:
READ A BOOK. I’m obviously a book freak and I’ll grab a book every chance I get. Let a book transport you wherever you choose to be. Paris? Narnia? Magical World? Sci Fi? Books got you covered.
WORKOUT. Admittedly, I’m new to this. I used to be so lazy but this quarantine is making me gain pounds I don’t even want. 😛 Get your ass up! Time to get that abs and that toned body we always include in our New Year’s Resolution. You have all the time now. No excuses.
VIDEOCALL with YOUR FRIENDS. I’m included in the population who would normally ignore your call. 😛 I’d rather much text. It’s the introvert in me. But a videocall with your friends is a good way to instill something special in your mundane day. Reach out to your friends and find out how they’re doing too.
CLEAN YOUR MAKE UP BRUSHES. Who here is guilty like I am? It’s been months since I last cleaned my brushes. It’s important. You might be wandering why you’re having breakouts? It may be because the brushes you are using are not clean!
SPRING CLEANING. I love cleaning my closet! No matter how often I do this, there seems to be some clothes that I can donate, things I need to let go of or shoes and bags that I no longer use that I can throw or sell. Lessen your clutter.
COMPLETE A BINGO CHALLENGE. Who here has been seeing different kinds of Bingo in Instagram? Do you enjoy ticking the boxes? Join in the fun or make one yourself!
TRY OUT INSTAGRAM EFFECTS. Why not explore the different things you can do in Instagram aside from posting your heavily curated pictures. Try different effects such as Guess the Gibberish or Who’s more likely to? It’s fun.
DO A TIKTOK CHALLENGE. Come on! Don’t preserve your dignity. I know you have a Tiktok Account. Try the dance challenges or imitate a prank or create a duet with your friends. It’s fun way to bond with them digitally! I know I did. 😛
LISTEN TO A PODCAST. I discovered a number of podcasts I know listen. I’m planning on listening to them even after quarantine. It’s a good way to be productive while you’re on your way home or while strolling in the mall. Do you have favorite accounts that you listen to? Let me know!
ARRANGE YOUR BOOKSHELF. I’m guilty. My bookshelf used to be a place for my charger, notebooks, pens, camera and all sorts of things. I fixed it up and let me tell you, it’s a breather looking at it now, arranged in colors and in height. 😀
CUT YOUR HAIR. This is not new to me. I have been cutting my hair for the longest time. Try it! You have all the time in the world to regret your decision. 😛 and spare time to grow your hair back. Haha Time to experiment! Too bad my husband doesn’t trust me enough to let me cut his hair.
GROOM YOUR PET. There may be a few or no pet salons that are open now. Why not trying to it yourself? It will save you a couple of bucks not going to a salon when everything normalizes. Right?
FINISH A SERIES. Been meaning to binge watch something your office mate mentioned? Now is the time. Can’t sleep? Watch! Add some popcorn or chips. Our Marathon food is Ruffles Sour Cream & Cheddar with some Maltesers and Wine. How about you?
SLEEP. Feeling tired all the time when you had to go to work? Hibernate. No one to tell you otherwise. Practice sleeping early or getting enough sleep at the very least.
DRINK COFFEE. Or whatever it is you crave. Are you a Milk Tea Addict? try to learn making one. or whip your own healthy shake all health buffs are doing.
BE A PLANT MAMA. Try to insert some greens in your home. Personally, I don’t like the smell of soil, especially when wet. So I don’t really plan on being a plant mama. But you might want to try? whatever works with you.
START PLANTING. If you don’t want a regular plant. Why not some vegetables. Grow your own market. Plant some tomatoes or potato and save your money next time you go for some grocery.
PLAY WITH YOUR PET. They miss you on an everyday basis. You now know how it feels being stuck at home. You know how your pets feel. Play with them. You are their world. Spend time with them and even include them in your tiktok videos. 😛
BOND WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. No matter who you’re stuck with this quarantine, appreciate their company. May it be your office mate, parents, siblings or cousins, spend time with them. Don’t keep to yourself.
PLAY SOME BOARD GAMES OR CARDS. There’s no better time to bring out those board games or learn a new card game. Practice your skills! Maybe next time, you’ll win. 😛 Haha
JOIN A WEBINAR. Companies and Organizations are a lot kinder these days. A lot of people are hosting FREE Webinars now. Yes, FREE. Take advantage and learn a thing or two this lockdown.
CLEAN YOUR PHONE. Delete all the screenshots thats been eating your memory! Arrange your apps. Compile it in one box or delete the ones you’re not using. Transfer your files and create a back up for the thousands of photos you’ve been keeping.
ENROLL IN AN ONLINE COURSE. There are free courses now! If not, most of them are discounted. There is no time ever wasted when spent learning something new. Enroll now.
PRAY. It may be the most effective way. You may never had the time to pray a novena? Now’s the time. Not the type to pray a Novena? Talk to him! It doesn’t have to be a formal prayer. Just talk to him. He listens, anywhere and anytime of the day.
