As I was scanning Investor Words for a new word that I can try to incorporate in my vocabulary, I cam across this quote i’d like to share.
”We often pay our debts not because it is only fair that we should, but to make future loans easier”. – Francois de La Rochefoucauld
Now would you look at this statement. It’s true, isn’t it? We hate to admit how we are sometimes. But tell me, if you had it your way, and if there was an out. would you rather pay your debt because it’s the right thing to do? or do you just pay your debts to avoid conflicts, court cases and other mishaps. Right?
Funny but true.
