My coworker once told me that I had no heart. Why? because no tears fell from my eyes when I watched Hachiko.
Don’t get me wrong. I love dogs. We have two very cute and sweet puppies, chili and cotton.
I found the movie very sad and it tear my heart seeing how loyal the dog was to his owner and thinking that it really happened.
Point is, I didn’t cry. When all of the people I know who watched this movie, cried.

So when I found an article circulating in FB entitled, movies that will surely make you ugly cry, I took it as a dare.
and see if it will really moved me.

I plan to watch some of them. Let’s see.

1. Love Story (1970)
2. Terms of Endearment (1983)
3. Dead Poets Society (1989) – I’ve seen this and this is one of my favorite movies but it didn’t make me cry too.
4. My Life (1993)
5. Schindler’s List (1993) – I’ve been wanting to watch this. ever since.
6. Stepmom (1998)
7. Milk (2008)

I’ll let you know if I weep.

  1. Schindler’s List is an exeptionally great movie, but it won’t make you cry. It will make you rethink humanity. I was literally bawling when I watched Hachiko!

  2. Oh I didn’t cry at any of those. To cry because of a movie, you have to find ones that relate to and remind you of your own personal tragedies. So the ones that get to me are like The Yearling (he is forced to shoot his beloved pet), The Best Years of Our Lives (the girl loves him even after he’s lost his hands), and Life is Beautiful (Daddy turns the Concentration Camp into a game, and they win!)
